In 2022, Ica founded Sadagat School of Motion and Text to create more spaces for alternative learning and embodied possibilities. Writing labs and classes are conducted online (synchronous and asynchronous) and in-person. Sample course titles:

About
Ica Sadagat’s work attends to the body as text, text as material, and material as collective practice.
Ica has performed at Swiss Institute / Contemporary Art New York, Thinking Its Presence—Pomona College, Giorno Poetry Systems, Brooklyn Academy of Music, UC Santa Cruz, Cue Art Foundation, Smith College, Rutgers University, Columbia University, The American Studies Association, and more. Ica received her MFA in Creative Writing at California Institute of the Arts as the Truman Capote Literary fellow. A trained teen crisis counselor and DV survivor advocate, Ica currently teaches at New Jersey City University in the English department. Beneath all this, Ica spars, surfs, and believes in the liberation of all oppressed peoples, lands, and waters.
